The EU-LAC Foundation, in partnership with UNU-CRIS , Université libre de Bruxelles and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro invite to the dialogue: Responding and Adapting to Climate Change in the European Union and in Latin America and the Caribbean: Fostering Cooperation at the Interregional Level.

In today's rapidly evolving global landscape, the importance of fostering innovation between regions cannot be overstated. The European Union and Latin America share numerous opportunities to leverage their unique strengths and collaborate on innovative solutions to common challenges.

The EU-LAC Foundation, together with the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg organises a discussion event in order to facilitate dialogue and collaboration between governmental, business, and civil society actors from both regions.

The EU-LAC Foundation is jointly organising, along with the Yuste Foundation, the summer course titled “Relations between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean: New Times and Renewed Commitments”. This event is being conducted in collaboration with the Organisation of Ibero-American States, the University of Extremadura and the Pontificia Catholic University of Puerto.

This high-level one-day event will bring together researchers from different disciplines, specialised organisations, public officials and interested members of the general public from Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean to learn from the pandemic experience and to discuss how to develop more robust and reliable structures and mechanisms for cooperation to enable both regions to engage in more coordinated measures to prepare for and respond to current and future health challenges.

The Workshop organized by the EU-LAC Foundation in the framework of the LASA 2024 Congress brings together European and Latin American researchers and aims to stimulate academic debate on the agenda of the bi-regional relationship between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

This seminar, organised by the EU-LAC Foundation, aims to promote a dialogue between key civil society actors, governments and international organisations on the illicit maritime trade of drugs between the EU and LAC regions as well as to examine current and future forms of bi-regional cooperation.

The EU-LAC Foundation, in collaboration with the Getulio Vargas Foundation School of Communication, Media and Information (FGV ECMI), will organise the 3rd EU-LAC Journalists Forum with media professionals from the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Framed within the framework of the Latin American and Caribbean Weeks, this half-day discussion aims to contribute to the debate on higher education within the framework of bi-regional agreements. Co-organized by the Institut des Ameriques and the EU-LAC Foundation, this event will be attended by leading academics and authorities from various international organizations.

This event of the Institut des Amériques, co-organised by the EU-LAC Foundation, the Agence française de développement, Expertise France and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, will address demographic ageing from Caribbean, Latin American and European perspectives. The work will be organised around three round tables with specialists on the subject from Europe and the Americas.

On 24 May 2024, the 10th Ordinary Meeting of the Board of Governors of the EU-LAC International Foundation will take place in Hamburg, Germany.
