The role of the Strategic Partners is to cooperate with the Foundation in non-exclusive terms to carry out its activities and promote the Bi-regional Strategic Partnership. The member states of the EU-LAC Foundation have identified four Strategic Partners since its creation:

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE)

The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, takes a leading role in the field of "Climate Change and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Caribbean Region".

Institut des Amériques

The Institut des Amériques, Paris, France, takes a leading role in the field of “intellectual exchanges concerning regional integration dynamics in the globalization context”.

Regione Lombardia, Italy 

The Regione Lombardia, Italy, takes a leading role in the field of “Partnership among small and medium-sized companies with a special focus on innovation, research, and technology transfer”.

United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC)

The United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Santiago de Chile, Chile, takes a leading role in the field of "investment, employment, and income distribution".
