VII EU-LAC Call for the co-organisation of events on topics relevant to the bi-regional partnership between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean

Call for co-organising events

The EU-LAC Foundation launches the VII EU-LAC Call for the co-organisation of events on topics relevant to the bi-regional partnership between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean

Public and private entities in countries of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean may submit proposals for events (such as seminars, colloquia, conferences, panels and round tables) that generate, among other products, publications, communication material, written interviews, videos or podcasts.

The current call is based on the results of the III EU-CELAC Summit, held in July 2023 in Brussels, where it was agreed to renew the bi-regional partnership to strengthen peace and sustainable development.

The events submitted must focus on one of the following thematic areas:

a) Climate financing options
b) Identification of vulnerabilities and adaptation policies
c) Prevention and response to climate and health crises.

The call aims to co-organise up to three events in 2024, one for each thematic area. Proposals will be accepted until 25 March 2024, and a selection committee will evaluate them based on established eligibility criteria. Results will be communicated on 8 April 2024, through the Tenders section of the EU-LAC Foundation website, and selected entities will be contacted by email. Due to the high number of proposals received, entities that are not selected will not be contacted.

Proposals meeting the requirements should be submitted to call@eulacfoundation.org before the deadline, with the subject "Call for Co-organisation of Events 2024 – Proposal Name," addressed to Diego Durán Cruz, Programme Manager. Each organisation is allowed one application, and only complete and eligible proposals will be considered.

All information for applicants and eligibility criteria can be found in the attached document.
