The EU-LAC Foundation in its mission to strengthen the EU-CELAC strategic partnership by connecting the intergovernmental processes with different sectors, such as research, business and academia, education; and promoting the development of a joint and forward-looking global vision with shared strategies in both regions, with the support of the European Commission (specifically Directorate General for Research and Innovation and Directorate General for Education and Culture) looks forward to address the following objectives:
- Identify ways in which both regions could take a bigger advantage of the on-going mobility schemes or research projects, as well as the academic and scientific networks amongst all our countries and from both regions.
- Continue to foster cooperation for human and institutional capacity building as well as internationalization of research and higher education in both regions.
- Consolidate the framework for the academic-research bi-regional cooperation and develop an inclusive, strategic and concrete approach.
