Yaritza Hernandez Barrera

Cuban nationality, graduate of the Master Erasmus Mundus Latin America and Europe in a Global World - LAGLOBE by the University of Salamanca, Stockholms Universitet, and Université Sorbonne Nouvelle (mention Très Bien). Holder of a Diploma in Development Journalism by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC). She graduated summa cum laude in Journalism from the University of Havana.

Yaritza is in charge of strategic communication and public affairs for the EU-LAC Foundation. She has extensive experience in communication, mass media and journalism specialising in foreign policy and international relations. She served as Bilateral, Public Diplomacy and Communications Officer at the British Embassy in Havana – Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. For more than five years she was a journalist for several Latin American and Caribbean media. 

She is fluent in Spanish, English and French and has a good understanding of Portuguese.
