XIV Ordinary Meeting of the Board of Governors of the EU-LAC Foundation

The EU-LAC International Foundation will hold the XIV Ordinary Meeting of its Board of Governors on 2 July, in person in Brussels, Belgium. This session will be the first of the two ordinary meetings scheduled for the year.
During the meeting, the members of the Board of Governors will receive information on the organisation’s activities in 2026 and its path towards the EU-CELAC Ministerial Meeting planned for this year. A summary will also be presented of the exchange held during the Extraordinary Meeting of the Board of Governors in Montevideo in June 2026 on the role of the EU-LAC Foundation in supporting bi-regional relations.

Another key item on the agenda will be the review of the status of ratification of the organisation’s Constitutive Agreement. To date, the document has been ratified by 50 countries, representing substantial progress towards strengthening the institutional framework and legal consolidation of the EU-LAC Foundation.

The Board of Governors of the EU-LAC Foundation represents its 61 members: 33 countries from Latin America and the Caribbean, the 27 Member States of the European Union (EU), and the EU through its institutions.

The Board oversees the management of the organisation and ensures that it works towards achieving its objectives. Its ordinary sessions are co-chaired by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), through its Pro Tempore Presidency, and the European Union, through the European External Action Service (EEAS).
