The EU-LAC Foundation, the Coordinator of the LAC NCP Network, and the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT), are pleased to announce the "Workshops for Institutional Capacity Building in Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation between Latin America and the Caribbean and the European Union: Focus on Central America, Cuba and the Dominican Republic" which will take place on 21, 22 and 23 November in Panama and remotely. This initiative seeks to achieve a better understanding and benefit from opportunities to develop bi-regional scientific cooperation initiatives and projects - between Ministries, Higher Education Institutions and researchers from Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe - and thus boost the strategic partnership between the European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
The event will be divided into three workshops:
- Workshop 1 - Dialogue and training for public officials responsible for the EU-CELAC Joint Research Initiative (JIRI);
- Workshop 2 - Training for National Contact Points (NCPs) of the Horizon Programme;
- Workshop 3 - Training on the Horizon Europe Programme for researchers, university managers, representatives of university associations and NCPs;
We consider these Workshops to be of particular interest to:

Public officials, decision-makers and representatives of governmental STI authorities from Central America, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

National Contact Points (NCPs) in Central America, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

Researchers, university managers, representatives of university associations from Central America, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
