Sustainable Development: A horizon for public policies in Latin America and the Caribbean

Within the last decades the growth patterns have been intensive with regards to the greenhouse gases emissions and predatory of the natural resources. The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean bets on an urgent transformation of such patterns through the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. New public policies in Latin America and the Caribbean must be designed and implemented bearing in mind the three fundamental principles of Sustainable Development: transformation of the productive matrix, the progress acceleration, the technological revolution and the social dimension. Read paper
