Seminar on Bioinformatics and Industry

The European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) is organizing a Seminar on Bioinformatics and Industry. The event will take place on 2 October 2014 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is a non-for-profit organization, financed by 20 European member states, Israel and two associated member states. It promotes scientific training, innovative research and technologic transformation in molecular biology. It brings together and coordinates the data supply of biological experiments, conducts basic investigation in computational biology and offers a Training Program in Bioinformatics for investigators.

This seminar offers the participants a general vision about molecular information tools and available resources from EMBL-EBI in the public domain and will be of particular interest to industry sector users and to professionals with ties to the patent industry.

The event is a pilot activity in the framework of the associated membership of Argentina to the European Laboratory for Molecular Biology.
