Seminar about the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) report presentation “Rethinking Productive Development: Sound Policies and Institutions for Economic Transformation”

The Maison de l’Amérique latine and  OECD Development Centre invite to a Seminar about the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) report presentation “Rethinking Productive Development: Sound Policies and Institutions for Economic Transformation” The event, open to the general public, will take place October 20, 2014 at Maison de l’Amérique latine, 217 Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris.

About the publication: To alter the productive development politics, necessary to prosper, the authors present a new conceptual framework. They analyse state politics in key areas such as innovation, new business, financing, human capital and internalization. Finally, they conclude with ideas on how to design institutions with appropriate incentives, increase  public sector capacities over time, and foster a constructive public-private collaboration.

 

The event will take place in Spanish with a simultaneous translation to French.
