The Foundation regrets the death of His Excellency Ambassador Jorge Valdez, who was the first Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation. Ambassador Valdez held throughout his outstanding career the highest diplomatic positions of the foreing service of Peru, and as Ambassador in Brussels he gave impetus to the creation of the Foundation, also leaving an important legacy in the various initiatives carried out by the Foundation to the date. Our deepest condolences go to his relatives, colleagues, friends and the Peruvian Foreign Ministry, R.I.P.
