Results of the 6th Annual Call for EU-LAC Co-organised Events

The EU-LAC Foundation is pleased to announce the results of the VI EU-LAC Call for the co-organisation of events on topics relevant to the bi-regional partnership between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean.

As in previous editions, the Call has received numerous and solid proposals, which shows the interest in and the relevance of the topics of the call for bi-regional dialogue and exchange. We warmly thank all participating entities and consortia.

After an evaluation process carried out with the support of an external jury of experts in the different themes of the call, the selected proposals are the following:

1. Food Security

- International Conference Food Security: Challenges and Opportunities for the Relations between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean. National University of Tres de Febrero in Buenos Aires (UNTREF), the Centre for International Information and Documentation in Barcelona (CIDOB) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).

2. Digital transformation

- Digital transformation as an enabler for the improvement of food security and clean energy transition. RedClara (Uruguay) and Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas - CIEMAT (Spain).

3. Energy transition

- Leaders of change for energy transition and digital transformation. Unión Iberoamericana de Municipalistas and Municipality of Valdivia (Chile).

The EU-LAC Foundation extends its congratulations to the entities that made up the winning proposals and sincerely thanks the collaboration of the experts who formed the external jury for the evaluation of the proposals:

Alejandro Barros (abc@alejandrobarros.com), Member of the Board of Directors of the think tank Espacio Público (Chile) and President of the non-governmental organisation Observatory for Transparency and Algorithmic Inclusion (OptIA). Former Executive Secretary at Estrategia Digital de Chile.
