On 22 July 2013 the EU-LAC Foundation’s Executive Director Jorge Valdez participated in the seminar “Finance Foreign Investment of SMEs in Latin America: the Role of Multilateral Banks”. The event was hosted by Milan’s Chamber of Commerce and co-organised by Rete Italia America Latina (RIAL), Inernazionalizzazione e Marketing Territoriale in collaboration with the Lombardy Region and EU-LAC Foundation.
The event was mainly directed to companies, in order to present an up-to-date and comprehensive list of financial instruments offered by multilateral banks, which focus on development and investment in Latin America and the Caribbean, and taking into account the role of the Private Sector Liaison Office (PSLO) of PROOS/Chamber of Commerce of Milan regarding the World Bank.
Together with Mr. Lorenzo Solinas from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Davide Pecca, from the Lombardy Region, the Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation Valdez presented the work within the strategic partnership between the EU-LAC Foundation and the Lombardy Region in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises and associated aspects of investigation, innovation, internationalisation and technology transfer”.
