The EU-LAC Foundation participated at the virtual XXXIX International Congress of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) 2021. This year's congress addressed the theme "Crisis global, desigualdades y centralidad de la vida" and took place from May 26th – May 29th, 2021.
Within this framework, the EU-LAC Foundation participated in three panel discussions:
- Panel 1:"The new European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean interregional and bilateral agenda"
- Panel 2: "Regional and inter-regional responses to post-pandemic gaps in Europe and Latin America"
- Panel 3: "Multilateralism and the EU-LAC partnership in the face of the pandemic crisis"
The Latin American Studies Association is the largest professional association in the world for individuals and institutions engaged in the study of Latin America. With over 13,000 members, over 60% of whom reside outside the United States, LASA is the one association that brings together experts on Latin America from all disciplines and diverse occupational endeavors, across the globe.
