Panel commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Ibero- American Cultural Charter of Montevideo: What is the role of Culture in relations between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean?

The European Union-Latin America and the Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation), the Ibero-American Institute of Berlin, the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) and the programme EU-LAC Focus are pleased to present the "Commemorative Panel for the 10th anniversary of the Charter of Montevideo "Whose central theme will be: What is the role of Culture in the relations between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean?

The "Commemorative Panel of the 10th anniversary of the Charter of Montevideo" seeks to promote the debate on the importance of culture as a fundamental basis for bi-regional relations and as a vehicle for social, economic and environmental development.

For the celebration of the panel, the interventions of the following institutional representatives will be taken into account, among others:

  • Secretary General of the OEI, Paulo Speller
  • Director and Representative of UNESCO in Mexico, Nuria Sanz
  • Director of the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen, Ronald Grätz
  • Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation, Paola Amadei
