Panel discussion “Right to a city vs. city of capital” and exhibition of photography “Displaced places – living space strategies and rebellion in São Paulo“

In the framework of the International Week of Justice organised by the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation, the debate “Right to a city vs. city of capital” on protest movements against the negative effects of urban development, for instance segregation, exclusion and cultural impoverishment, will take place. Present will be representatives from different groups of society such as Fernando Santomauro (foreign relations coordinator of the Guarulhos municipality in São Paulo state), Andreij Holm (HU Berlin) and Vitor Marques (local secretary of the juvenile organisation of PT in São Paulo). Registration is required by April 21st 2016.

Afterwards, the exhibition “Displaced places – living space strategies and rebellion in São Paulo“ by Sascha Facius y Oliver Hildebrandt will be inaugurated.

The events will be held on April 27th 2016 starting at 20:00 at the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation in Berlin.
