Nucleus of Studies and Researches in higher education of Mercosur

This is one of the initiatives of the educational sector of MERCOSUR (SEM), promoted by the regional coordinator commission of higher education. Within the framework of "Objectives and Actions for the Higher Education" concerning at the strategic plan 2006-2010 of SEM was established the creation of a Nucleus of Studies and Researches in Higher Education of MERCOSUR with the purpose of contribute to the inter institutional cooperation between the universities systems of the MERCOSUR countries. To this end, was convened to a Working Group that was composed by representatives of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Venezuela who laid the foundations for its creation, establishing their purposes and objectives, which were approved and validated in the corresponding plan at period 2011-2015
