The Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation Paola Amadei is in Ecuador, from the 27th to 31st of March, to conduct meetings with partners of the Foundation and to participate as an external expert to the Transectorial Board of the biregional project EU -LAC Focus, funded by Horizon2020.
During the first two days, the Executive Director Paola Amadei held meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility Guillaume Long, with the Minister of Knowledge and Human Talent Andrés Arauz, and with the Member of Parliament María Augusta Calle Andrade. She had also meetings with representatives of the EU and the EU Member States resident in Ecuador and of the Ecuador Eurocámaras, as well as with the Executive Director of CERES (Consorcio Ecuatoriano para la Responsabilidad Social).
From the 29th to 30th of March, the Executive Director is participating in the 3rd EULAC Focus meeting about the theme "Giving focus to the Cultural, Scientific and Social Dimension of EU - CELAC relations“, organised by the Secretariat for Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT) together with the Yachay University for Experimental Technology and Research (Yachay Tech).
For the next days the agenda includes a conference in the framework of the activities organised by the Centro Andino de Estudios Internacionales (Andean Center for International Studies) and its Jean Monnet programme at the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (Simon Bolivar Andean University) on the occasion of the 60 anniversary of the EU. The programme is completed by discussions with the Director of the Comité Empresarial del Ecuador and interviews with local media.
