Mission of the Executive Director of EU-LAC Foundation to Brussels

The Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation Paola Amadei is in the Belgian capital, from the 20th to 23rd February, to conduct meetings with partners of the Foundation.

During the first day, the Executive Director Paola Amadei has held meetings with the Chargé d’ Affairs of the Embassy of El Salvador, being El Salvador the country hosting the pro tempore Presidency of CELAC (Community of Latin America and Caribbean States), with the Cariforum (the Forum of the Caribbean Group of African, Caribbean and Pacific States) Ambassadors, as well as with representatives of the European External Action Service.

For the next days the agenda includes a presentation before the EU Council Working Group on Latin America and Caribbean (COLAC) as well as meetings with the Ambassadors to the EU of Brazil, Cuba and Spain. The programme is completed by discussions with officials of several Directorates-General of the European Commission and local think tanks such as the European Union Institute for Security Studies.
