Mission of the Executive Director of EU-LAC Foundation to Berlin

The Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation Paola Amadei is in the German capital on the 23rd and 24th January to conduct meetings with partners of the Foundation.

During the first day, the Executive Director Paola Amadei has held meetings with the Charges d’ Affairs of the Embassy of El Salvador, being El Salvador the country that will assume the pro tempore Presidency of CELAC (Community of Latin America and Caribbean States) and with the Director of the Division Conosur States in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Mrs. Annette Walter. Furthermore, the Executive Director Paola Amadei attended a meeting with Mrs. Kerstin Manz, the Head of the Division for World Heritage of the German Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

For the second day the agenda includes reunions with the Ambassador of Estonia and a representative of the Embassy of Malta, being Estonia and Malta the two countries that will hold the Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers in 2017. The programme will be completed by a meeting with the Ambassador of Nicaragua and a visit to Berlin office of the German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA).
