Meetings Latin America and Caribbean -Europe: Partners for innovation, investment and trade.

The European Union, the Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Tourism of Santa Cruz (CAINCO), the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES ) have decided to join forces to contribute more efficiently to the strengthening of smaller enterprises. In this context, some activities have been scheduled to share experiences and strengthen the cooperation agenda between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean from 10th to 14th October 2017 that will take place at the Hotel Camino Real Santa Fe, Mexico City.

This five-day meeting will be articulated based on three components. The first activity, organized by ECLAC (October 10th and 11th, 2017), seeks to build a common language for the design of a new generation of promotion tools for MSMEs, and for the cooperation between both regions, based on a fluid dialogue public-private, to become a genuine push factor and a transformation tool. In this context, the second activity, organized by CAINCO and EUROCHAMBRES (October 12nd, 2017), seeks to deepen the dialogue between representatives of the private sector and to elaborate concrete proposals that will be delivered to the Heads of State and Government of both regions at the El Salvador Summit in late October. Finally, the third act, organized by CAINCO (October 13 and October 14), in addition to publicizing the progress, aims to bring together and promote joint actions of one of the flagship programs of the European Union in Latin America: AL-Invest 5.0.
