Meeting with the President of the Spanish-speaking Society of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Vanessa Cazares

The Executive Director, Dr Adrián Bonilla of the EU-LAC Foundation met with the President of the Spanish-speaking Society of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Vanessa Cazares, and Lioba Bammer, who shared the interest of the students of the Academy to increase their network of contacts with Spanish-speaking institutions, mainly in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Spanish-speaking Society of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna is a group of around 60 postgraduate students, composed of students and alumni, whose main objective is to promote Spanish culture and language at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and the University of Vienna, through various activities. In this sense, the Vienna Diplomatic Academy is a meeting place for a large number of students from Europe and those from Latin America and the Caribbean.

Today's meeting inspired the approach to the EU-LAC International Foundation to find opportunities for cooperation and spaces for discussion around relevant issues of the strategic partnership, such as climate change, sustainability, and gender, among others. Internship opportunities for students who may be interested in contributing to the mutual understanding and visibility of Latin America and the Caribbean and the European Union were also discussed.
