Minister of State of Germany Niels Annen and our Director Adrián Bonilla discussed this morning the need to make the bi-regional relationship with LAC more visible, particularly in the context of the current German Presidency of the European Council. Germany is not only one of the main European partners in the region, but is complemented by the LAC initiative led by Minister Maas.
Likewise, both agreed on the need to strengthen the institutionality of the International Foundation EU-LAC, particularly in this context of the COVID-19, through the prompt signature and ratification of the Headquarters Agreement and to complete the organization's management scheme.
Finally, they addressed the relevance of the Latin American and Caribbean region for Europe and vice versa, being both regions indivisible partners in the current international context.
