The Director for LAC of the European Commission's Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development (DG-DEVCO), Jolita Butkeviciene and our Director Adrian Bonilla, discussed possible joint initiatives to be undertaken in the framework of the implementation of EU regional programmes for the LAC region.
They agreed on the importance of the Foundation in the creation of bi-regional spaces or platforms that serve to propose analyses and reflections in the different areas relevant to the strategic partnership, which subsequently feed the political dialogue.
Finally, it was agreed to continue working on the initiatives already defined in the areas of employability, climate change, as well as in the identification of new initiatives that can also count on the support of the General Directorate.
