The seminar is part of a regional initiative on the combination of work and training as an effective mechanism, under certain conditions, of policies for youth employment and employability. Among other antecedents, the seminar was preceded by a call in Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean launched by the EUROsociAL Programme and the EU-LAC Foundation which led to the selection of 13 experiences (out of almost 100 presented) of good practices and lessons learned on Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Latin America, the Caribbean and the European Union.
The seminar is organised by the European Union EUROsociAL+ Programme and the EU-LAC Foundation in close collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Employment Promotion of Peru and with the support of the Inter-American Centre for the Development of Knowledge in Vocational Training of the International Labour Organisation (CINTERFOR-ILO).
