The German Association of Research on Latin America (ADLAF) is organising a symposium about the international role of Latin America in a changing international framework. The region is currently playing a stronger and more active role in areas like politics, the economy, security and environment than before. The symposium seeks to analyse and discuss the international relations of the region, the orientation of Latin America in matters of foreign policy, their new and old partners, and regional cooperation and integration.
The event will take place on 7 June 2013 at the Ibero-American Institute in Berlin.
