The Section for Spanish and Portuguese of the Linguistics Department at Ghent University announces the conference Ibero-Romance Languages in Contact and in Contrast. The conference is intended to approach the linguistic diversification that was generated by intercontinental, national and local phenomena, and as a result from the contact and the contrast among and between Ibero-American languages.
