Both on the national and international scene, Social Responsibility is becoming a highly relevant topic in the main discussion forums on economic, political, and social affairs, highlighting the need to integrate economic, environmental, and social factors into companies' business strategies. With this background, the Federação das Indústrias do Rio Grande do Sul (FIERGS) and the Serviço Social da Indústria (SESI) are organising a congress to assess this topic in the context of European-Latin American relations, which will take place on 15 and 16 October 2012 in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
