The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia is organising the first International Conference on Latin America and the Caribbean, on February 22 in Ljubljana.
The conference will be opened by Slovenian Foreign Minister and Vice-Prime Minister Mr. Karl Erjavec. We expect the participation of representatives of LAC countries, EU, representatives of the IDB, research centres and associations as well as representatives of Slovenian business community, science, politics, culture and diplomatic corps.
The Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation, Paola Amadei will participate as speaker on the event in which she will present the Foundation.
The one-day conference will consist of three consecutive panels focusing on:
- Fostering bilateral and bi-regional cooperation
- Strengthening economic cooperation
- Addressing environmental challenges
The event will be accompanied by a number of cultural and business events, thus presenting the region to the wider public.
The conference will be held in the English language.
