International Catholic Child Bureau (BICE)

Created in 1948, BICE is an international Catholic network of organisations committed to the promotion and protection of the dignity and rights of the child, present in nearly 30 countries on 4 continents, through their partners.
The association actively participated in the elaboration of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the United Nations in 1989 and ratified by almost all the countries in the world.
BICE has consultative status with the UN and is therefore present at the Human Rights Council and the Committee on the Rights of the Child in Geneva where it has a permanent representation.

Creada en 1948, el BICE es una red internacional católica de organizaciones comprometidas con la promoción y la protección de la dignidad y los derechos del niño, presente en cerca de 30 países de 4 continentes, a través de sus socios.
La asociación participó activamente en la elaboración de la Convención sobre los Derechos del Niño, adoptada por las Naciones Unidas en 1989 y ratificada por casi todos los países del mundo.
El BICE tiene estatus consultivo en la ONU y, por lo tanto, está presente en el Consejo de Derechos Humanos y en el Comité de los Derechos del Niño en Ginebra, donde tiene una representación permanente.
