Inclusion of Young Women in the Labour Market in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe: from good practices to innovative policies

The EU-LAC Foundation and EUROsociAL+, the European Union's programme with Latin America for the improvement of Social Cohesion, launched a call for proposals on successful experiences of "Good Practices and Innovations for the Inclusion of Young Women in the Labour Market in the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean" at the beginning of 2018. From the experiences received, 10 were selected due to their objectives, methodology and results. They can be seen as references based on their publications, actions and policies that favour the inclusion of the young population and, in particular, of women in the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean in the labour market in conditions of decent employment and allowing them to achieve better living standards.  The results of this call, as well as the analysis of the selected experiences, have been compiled in a publication available online.

The presentation and discussion of the results of the study will take place in Barcelona at the Barcelona Center for International Affairs (CIDOB), and has the support of OBREAL. The debate will be moderated by Maria Rosa Renzi, who is a Social Sciences Researcher and was in charge of the selection and analysis of the experiences in the framework of good practices, with additional comments from Esther Caballé from the Fundació Pau i Solidaritat, and Ramón Torrent, Coordinator of the EULAC-FOCUS Project. Finally, there will be a presentation about the experience of the Federation of Young Women of Spain in charge of its president, Ada Santana.

This was possible with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain.
