The EU-LAC Foundation together with the Portuguese Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDAL) organised the third edition of the Forum Portugal - Central America and the Caribbean, which took place on 24 June, in a hybrid format.
Within the framework of the programming of both organisations, it was agreed to hold this forum under the theme of "Multilateralism and Association Agreements", to generate a reflection on the progress of the Agreement between the European Union and Central America and the Agreement between the European Union and the Caribbean, as well as its contribution to dialogue and multilateralism, and the role of Portugal in the framework of its implementation. The conclusions of this forum contribute to the study on the network of Association Agreements between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean currently being developed by the Foundation.
The forum had the distinguished participation of the Ambassadors of the Central American and Caribbean countries accredited to Portugal, as well as representatives of the Portuguese government. The Forum was held in the framework of the conclusion of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Participation by personal invitation only.
