Library “Mario Monteforte Toledo”
In the time and age of new technologies, digital collections and virtual libraries carry two commitments: preservation and making available a specialised collection particularly valuable for its coverage. It also entails the need to apply technological options to its conservation, digital transformation and its way of circulating and publishing.
The facilities of the Mario Monteforte Toldeo Library, which were inaugurated in March of 2004, were sponsored by unconditional support of the Republic of Taiwan; equipment, furniture and the classification system were made possible thanks to a cooperation with the Republic of South Korea, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency – KOICA. In addition, collaboration agreements with academic institutions will allow to expand the bibliographic heritage.
