The “First International Congress - The indigenous peoples of Latin America, XIX-XXICenturies: Advances, Perspectives and Challenges” is organised by CIPAL (International Congress Indigenous peoples of Latin America) and will be held from 28 to 31 October 2013 at the Cultural Institute Oaxaca in Oaxaca City, Mexico.
This conference aims at strengthening the cooperation and exchange of experiences between academics and professionals from Latin America, the United States and Europe who are working with and about Latin-American indigenous peoples from the perspectives of history, ethnohistory, anthropology and related sciences, as well as design and implementation of policies for social development or conservation of cultural heritage of indigenous peoples.
