The EU-LAC Foundation and the University of Copenhagen have signed two cooperation agreements

As a result of the first official mission of the EU-LAC Foundation to Denmark in February, Executive Director Paola Amadei has signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Copenhagen through Tina Lupton, head of the Department of English, Germanic and Romance Languages (ENGEROM), which hosts the university's Center for Latin American Studies, directed by Georg Wink.

Thanks to this agreement, both institutions will promote visibility and cooperation in areas of mutual benefit, namely for the organisation and realisation of congresses, seminars and workshops, joint publications of interest, and exchange of documents and information relevant to the bi-regional partnership.

Both institutions have also signed a collaboration agreement for internships, that will allow two students from the University of Copenhagen to benefit from the experience during one of the internship cycles at the Foundation in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

In addition, the Library of ENGEROM at the University of Copenhagen will become the repository for the Foundation's publications in Denmark, becoming the 33th national repository.

The Foundation thus extends its network for collaboration in the Nordic region, as there already exists a cooperation agreement with the University of Stockholm since 2018.

Both the University of Copenhague and the University of Stockholm are part of the newly formed Nordic Institute for Latin American Studies (NILAS), based in Stockholm, which was inaugurated in last March www.lai.su.se/.
