The European Union- Latin America and Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation) and the ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), signed a Cooperation Agreement
The EU-LAC Foundation and the ifa intensify their cooperation. Today, Ronald Grätz, Secretary General of the ifa, and Paola Amadei, Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation, signed a cooperation agreement in Stuttgart.
“I am glad to welcome the EU-LAC Foundation, yet another outstanding partner on the international stage, in our ifa-network. Europe’s future, which we can only secure together, is one of the most important and at the same time most challenging tasks in the years ahead. At a global level, Latin America as a partner should not be neglected”, said Ronald Grätz on the occasion of the cooperation agreement signing.
“The ifa and the EU-LAC Foundation share the same visions and objectives”, said Paola Amadei. “For us at the EU-LAC Foundation, it is a pleasure to work and cooperate with an institution as rich in tradition as the ifa. For both of our institutions, culture is at the very heart of our work, and even more this year, since we celebrate the European Year of Cultural Heritage.”
The cooperation aims at exchanging information and experience in the realisation of future joint projects. By combining their efforts, both institutions – the ifa in its capacity as the Centre of Competence for Foreign Cultural and Educational Policy and the EU-LAC Foundation as advisor on the cooperation between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean- intend to further strengthen and use the synergy effect between domestic and foreign cultural policy.

The European Union – Latin America and Caribbean Foundation is an organisation aiming at strengthening the cultural, political and scientific cooperation between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean. The European Union – Latin America and Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation) und ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) schließen Kooperationsvertrag
Die EU-LAC Foundation und das ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) intensivieren ihre Zusammenarbeit. Ronald Grätz, Generalsekretär des ifa, und Paola Amadei, Geschäftsführende Direktorin der EU-LAC Foundation, unterzeichnen heute in Stuttgart eine Kooperationsvereinbarung.
„Ich freue mich sehr mit der EU-LAC Foundation einen weiteren hervorragenden Partner auf internationaler Ebene im ifa-Netzwerk zu begrüßen. Die Zukunft Europas ist eine der wichtigsten und schwierigsten Aufgaben der kommenden Jahre, die wir nur mit gemeinsamen Anstrengungen sichern können. Gerade im globalen Kontext darf aber Lateinamerika als wichtiger Partner nicht vergessen werden“, so Ronald Grätz anlässlich der Unterzeichnung.
„Das ifa und die EU-LAC haben dieselben Visionen und Ziele“, so Paola Amadei. „Es ist für die EU-LAC Stiftung eine Freude, mit einer so traditionsreichen Institution wie dem ifa zu kooperieren. Für beide Institutionen steht die Kultur im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit und noch mehr in diesem Europäischen Kulturerbejahr.”
Ziel der Kooperation ist es, Erfahrungen und Informationen auszutauschen und diese zukünftig in der Umsetzung gemeinsamer Projekte zu bündeln. Beide Institutionen – das ifa als Kompetenzzentrum für die Auswärtige Kultur- und Bildungspolitik und die EU-LAC Foundation als Ratgeber für die Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Europäischen Union, Lateinamerika und der Karibik – wollen mit ihrem gemeinsamen Beitrag die Synergieeffekte zwischen Innen- und Außenkulturpolitik verstärkt nutzen.
