The EU-LAC Foundation and the Ibero-American League of Civil Society Organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding

The EU-LAC Foundation and the Ibero-American League of Civil Society Organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The objective of this agreement is to exchange relevant documentation on the bi-regional dialogue between Latin America and the Caribbean and the European Union, to disseminate the work of both bodies, to generate and propose congresses and seminars, and other spaces for forums and debate workshops, as well as to produce joint publications of interest to both organisations, or any other form of cooperation that may be established.

About the EU-LAC Foundation 

The European Union - Latin America and the Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation) is an organisation that works to strengthen economic, cultural, political and scientific cooperation between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean, whose headquarters are in Hamburg. The Foundation was created in the framework of the VI Summit of Heads of State and Government of the EU and Latin America and the Caribbean, held in 2010 in Madrid. The 33 States of Latin America and the Caribbean, the 28 members of the European Union, as well as the European Union, constitute the 62 members of the Foundation. The Foundation is the result of the first and only agreement that includes all, and exclusively, the members of the European Union, the EU itself and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

About the the Ibero-American League of Civil Society Organisations

The Ibero-American League of Civil Society Organisations “La Liga” is a private non profit institution, currently involving 27 organizations from 17 Ibero-American countries, which are specialized in human, social and community development. The League was legally established in December 1999 in Santiago de Compostela (Spain), according to Spanish legislation.
