The event “Energy Efficiency Training Week for Latin America” will gather energy efficiency professionals in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from November 27th to December 1st. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), one of the training week organisers, the “event aims to build capacity among policy makers and to equip them with greater knowledge and skills on developing energy efficiency initiatives in their countries”. Along with IEA, the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and Eletrobras are partners in this project that is supported by KfW and the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. The participants will have the opportunity to attend one of the four parallel courses on energy efficiency at no cost (attendees are responsible for is own travel and accommodation expenses).
