Documentary "En el país de mis hijos " (In my children's country)
The EU-LAC Foundation is pleased to coordinate the Latin American Fall again this year. In this context, the Consulate General of Ecuador in Hamburg is pleased to present the documentary "In the Country of my Children". Dario left Ecuador for Germany because of Stephanie, but from the first day the foreigner's offices became part of his relationship. Over the next fifteen years, he collected a total of ten visas and associated Germany with a long list of documents, stamps, permits and restrictions. These kept him at arm's length, but suddenly: the mayor of Hamburg invites Dario to become a German citizen. A declaration of love? Dario responds with a delicate and ironic film showing his tortuous journey from the country of his parents to the country of his children.
