Of Mexican nationality. Master cum laude in International Relations, European Politics, Policy and Society from Humboldt University, Freie University of Berlin and the University of Bath. Graduated magna cum laude in International Relations specialised in Diplomacy from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. More than 5 years of experience in international organisations, such as the United Nations agencies and diplomatic representations in Mexico, Belgium, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy and Germany. Diego has worked on cooperation affairs between Mexico and the European Union, integration, multilateralism and, since joining the Foundation, in charge of the organisation's institutional partnerships, contributing to the visibility of the strategic association between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean.
In addition to Spanish, he speaks English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Russian.
