Alberto Majó Piñeyrúa is the Executive Secretary of the Ibero-American Programme of Science and Technology for the Development (CYTED)
The Ibero-American Programme of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED) works to promote cooperation in science, technology and innovation in Ibero-America. For 34 years CYTED has been launching a series of calls for support to thematic networks, research projects and business fora. The experience in this field has shown that there is a connection between different actors, which, if duly promoted, allows the creation of initiatives such as the generation of the "VIRORED- Network to respond to epidemics of emerging viruses".
