Criteria to join the Network

We invite individuals as well as representatives of alliances and networks, institutions, or organisations from the European Union (EU) and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) committed to gender equality to join the Network who:

• Share the Network's mission, vision and values;
• Have legal personality in one of the LAC or EU countries or, in the case of individuals, have a nationality of one of the LAC or EU countries;
• Have working experience in one of the lines of action prioritised by the Network;
• Commit to an active participation or relevant contribution to one of the initiatives per year (examples: preparing a presentation for an event; taking on a moderation role; offering expertise in the formulation of a publication; writing an article for the EU-LAC Foundation’s Blog, or others);
• Participate in some of the events organised by the Network and support its dissemination;
• Participate in the Network's annual Assembly;
• Establish a focal point within the organisation/institution and authorise the use of the logo for relevant activities (authorise the use of personal data in case of experts);
• Share with the members of the Network programmes, projects, actions or public policy reports that are being developed by their organisation.

Benefits of being part of the Network

• Increase the scope and visibility of alliances, institutions and organisations that generate public policies, initiatives, programmes, practices; and experiences in gender equality in the lines of action prioritised by the Network;
• The possibility of developing and strengthening partnerships with public institutions and civil society organisations and other sectors for the development of joint activities;
• The opportunity to connect with decision-makers and members of civil society from both regions to influence agendas for more inclusive societies;
• The possibility of publishing opinion articles and contributing to the writing of public policy and analysis reports based on an organisation’s expertise and capabilities;
• The opportunity to participate as expert and contribute to the successful implementation of events organised and promoted by the Network.
