Casa de América in Madrid is organising a new edition of the cycle “Impuso Latino”. At this occasion it will analyse the key successful factors in the artistic area, under the title “The crisis and the artistic creations of the Latin American immigration”. The event will take place on 24 June 2013, at Sala Cervantes.

Integration and memories – A shared culture enables the integration of the immigrant or the children of Latin American immigrants in the social, political or economic life in Spain. However, integration does not entail forgetting their origins. Memories of their country of origin enrich the individual life of the emigrant as well as the community life of their host country.
