Red de Inverstigaciones sobre América Latina is organizing its IV International Congress in cooperation with the University Centre of Social Sciences and Humanities (CUCSH) at the Universidad de Guadalajara, and the Centre for Research and Advanced Studies in Social Anthropology (CIESAS). The Congress will take place on 04-06 September 2013, at the Universidad de Guadalajara and at CUCSH and CIESAS.
The organisers envisage strengthening the interdisciplinary cooperation under the institutional framework of research on Latin America, bringing researches from all over the world.
The congress will discuss historical, anthropological, political, sociological and cultural perspectives, grouped into three interrelated themes:
- Ethnicity and sense of belonging
- Sense of belonging and citizenship in the context of migration
- Citizenship transformations and the relation to the ethical field
