Conference: Itinerant Identities: Museum Communities / Community Museum

An international museum conference exploring concepts, experiences, and sustainability/ies

The Itinerant Identities conference at the University of the West Indies, Barbados, aims to deepen understanding of relationships between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, in the field of community museums, heritage and museology. In order to discuss and develop new and innovative perspectives in the field of museums with respect to communities and sustainability, migration and gender, public education and audience development, the conservation of culture heritage tourism, cyber museology and digital identities and museum pedagogy, the conference will gather practitioners and thinkers form different backgrounds.

This conference is coordinated by the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill in collaboration with EU-LAC-MUSEUMS and the Museum Association of the Caribbean (MAC).

 The EU-LAC Foundation  will be represented by its Executive Director, Paola Amadei.
