Conference “Cities and Citizenship in Latin America and the Caribbean”

On June 16th to 17th, the conference titled “Cities and Citizenship in Contemporary Latin America and the Caribbean” will be held in Delft, The Netherlands. It is organised by the Netherlands Association for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (NALACS) and the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment of the Delft University of Technology.  

The participation of over 50 specialised scholars on urban development and citizenship is confirmed, among these Rivke Jaffe from the University of Amsterdam and Clara Irazábal from Columbia University.

The sessions are divided into four topics: Cities and Violence; Cities and Sustainable Development; Cities and Identify; and Open for discussion.

In addition to panel discussions and paper presentations, the event includes a film screening and comic exhibition.
