The EU-LAC Foundation’s Strategic Partner in France, the Institut des Amériques, with support from the Foundation and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a one-day Colloquium entitled “New Dynamics of Regional Integration in LAC and the EU-LAC Bi-Regional Relationship” in Paris on 8 June 2012.
The EU-LAC Foundation’s President, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, gave an opening speech highlighting the continued importance of regional integration as a strategy for LAC countries to face the challenges and opportunities of the global context. With high-level participants from many countries and institutions of both regions, the event marked a great starting point for the collaboration of the Institut des Amériques and the EU-LAC Foundation within the framework of their Strategic Partnership.
