On 13 February 2012, the European Commission published a Communication "Innovating for Sustainable Growth: A Bioeconomy for Europe" (COM(2012)60). The Communication presents a Bioeconomy Strategy for Europe and an Action Plan, which includes as Action No6 to "Establish a Bioeconomy Observatory that allows the Commission to regularly assess the progress and impact of the bioeconomy".
In the frame of the project to set-up this Bioeconomy Observatory, the Joint Research Centre will organise three stakeholders' roundtables on the Bioeconomy Observatory. The first one will take place on Tuesday 26th of November 2013 in Brussels (Conference Centre Albert Borschette) from 9:00 to 17:00.
