AIHP-GEODE Géographie, développement, environnement de la Caraïbe

Created in 1988, the Centre de Recherche GÉODE Caraïbe brings together geographers from the University of the West Indies as well as all researchers interested in the research programs of this laboratory. The Center is attached to the Geography Department of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of the West Indies.
GEODE Caraïbe's mission is: to increase research in geography on the Caribbean world: islands and continental border; to strengthen regional university cooperation in geographic research; to associate in multidisciplinary teams researchers from different backgrounds interested in the countries of the region; to disseminate all knowledge and experiences conducted in the Caribbean, especially in economic and social development, geopolitics and environment.

Creado en 1988, el Centre de Recherche GÉODE Caraïbe reúne a los geógrafos de la Universidad de las Antillas y a todos los investigadores interesados en los programas de investigación del laboratorio. El Centro está adscrito al Departamento de Geografía de la Facultad de Artes y Humanidades de la Universidad de las Antillas.
La misión de GEODE Caraïbe es: incrementar la investigación en geografía sobre el mundo caribeño: islas y frontera continental; reforzar la cooperación universitaria regional en materia de investigación geográfica; asociar en equipos multidisciplinares a investigadores de distintas procedencias interesados en los países de la región; difundir todos los conocimientos y experiencias realizados en el Caribe, especialmente en las áreas de desarrollo económico y social, geopolítica y medio ambiente.
