AECID Library
The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation - AECID Library has 3 collections: Hispanic Library about Humanities and Social Sciences of Latin America; Islamic Library about Humanities and Social Sciences of the Arabic and Islamic world; and Library of the Spanish Cooperation about the cooperation to Development and Foreign Affaires. It has approximately one million documents, including books, reviews, draws, photos, maps, sounds, etc. The Library welcomes approximately 20,000 users from the whole world every year. By inter-librarian loan approximately 300 users accede to our books every year. The Library also disposes of a digital library and collects information about digital repositories on Latin American literature (Americanae).
The AECID has also created a network of 20 libraries in Latin America and Africa (Guinea). Those libraries share a single catalogue which is coordinated from AECID in Madrid.
